Sri.N.V.S. Reddy is presently the Managing Director of the prestigious Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited. He is heading the mega Hyderabad Metro Rail project estimated at US $3.2 billion (14,132 crore) under public private partnership (PPP), the largest such project in the world being implemented in PPP mode and the first of its kind in the country.

An M Phil from JNU, New Delhi, Mr N.V.S. Reddy had a brilliant academic record and was a topper in various courses. He joined the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) in 1983 and served the Indian Railways in various senior positions till 2002. His last assignment in the Indian Railways was Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer.

In his 30 years of managerial and administrative experience in Government of India, Government of AP and PSU’s, Mr. N.V.S. Reddy has contributed greatly to the systemic improvements in the Indian Railways.

Later as Director (Finance) of a power distribution company of Government of Andhra Pradesh, he successfully turned around the loss making company in a short span of one year.

As Additional Commissioner of GHMC, he pioneered an innovative scheme "Fund Your City" and was instrumental in building a lot of public assets and amenities through the innovative use of air space and advertisement rights, without spending from the public exchequer.

He is known for his financial acumen, managerial ingenuity, open minded approach and leadership qualities. His expertise lies in Rail Transportation & Power sectors, Finance, Urban Transportation, Urban Governance, Project Structuring & Project Management and PPPs.

He has been associated with the implementation of many important projects including the mega Konkan Rail project on the west coast of India.

He was awarded the prestigious Railway Minister's Award for Excellence in Service in 2002 and the Prime Minister's Group Award for early completion of Projects.
